With Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt expecting another baby, the first official photographs are expected to fetch millions. What will Brad and Angie do with all that cash?!?! And what about Blue Ivy Carter, first child of Beyonce and Jay Z. We have not seen baby pictures yet, but are waiting with baited breath. Will the paparazzi get the first photos? Or will Beyonce and Jay Z follow in other celeb’s footsteps and sell their own photo to People magazine. Let’s take a look at the highest priced celebrity baby photographs.
$11 million – Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline
In 2008 these adorable twins hit pay dirt when their baby pictures brought in $11 million for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. People magazine is sure the hefty price tag is well worth it. The issue with Shiloh on the cover boosted sales by 45%, selling over 2.2 million copies, making it one of the magazine’s biggest sellers ever. Hello! Magazine reportedly also paid millions for international distribution right.
$6 million – Max and Emme Muniz
Also in 2008, People magazine bought the rights for photos of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s babies Emme and Max. Lopez and Anthony kept the pregnancy a secret for a long time. This created a public feeding frenzy to get the first official photographs of the babies. The $6 Million price tag matches box-office receipt for Lopez’s movie “Gigli”. OK! Magazine paid $2 million for international distribution.
$4.1 million – Shiloh Nouvel
Brad and Angie are making millions off their children’s pictures alone. Who needs to be in the movie business?!?! Shilo Nouvel was born in 2006, Brad and Angelina’s first child together. Just as with the Lopez photographs, People magazine ponied up for Shiloh’s exclusive photographs as well. Pitt and Jolie didn’t capitalize on those funds; they donated it to African charities that help needy children.
$3 million – Levi Alves McConaughey
Pictures of first son of Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey in the summer of 2008, brought in $3 Million. It was reported that McConaughey hired the same person who brokered Jolie and Pitt’s deal with pictures for Shilo photos. The deal reportedly included the rights to Christmas photos and their wedding.
$2 million – Dannielynn Birkhead
And you’re asking yourself who is Larry Birkhead? Birkhead was confirmed to be the father of Dannielynn, daughter of Anna Nicole Smith. The money was very much a part of the entire saga brought about by the death of Anna Nicole Smith. OK! Magazine purchased exclusive photographs of Birkhead and his daughter. What he did with that money? We’ll never really know for sure, but many people figure it went straight up to legal fees.
$2 million – Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt
